Sunday Morning is for Sleeping

Dori had a big day yesterday with our Halloween party. This morning all she wants to do is find a place to nap!

Her friend Sug came to visit as well. She is also having a lazy Sunday - just look out for that vampire bat, Sug!

Drownded

Everypup got a bath this week - Dori was a bit pitiful after hers! 

 

I'm just gonna sit here and eat this pea the cats dropped from their food. THEY don't get baths - maybe I will turn into one!

We only have to do that once a lifetime, right?

Momma P is out of town today and Dori (along with everyone else) misses her!

Dori loves my slippers. She actually doesn't chew on them! She prefers to tote one to her napping spot of the moment and just lay down on it like a pillow. Sometimes she will "mouth" it a bit before she sleeps - maybe the fur reminds her of someone?

Even the beagle isn't totally immune to playtime antics. She is quick to let Dori know when she has had enough though!

The Truth

Weekends are Exhausting!

 

After a hard weekend of chasing Rico and protecting the house from Fluff Bunnies of Doom, Dori settled into her favorite napping spot under the kitchen table!

The second of her costumes! We love Halloween here so she has several to choose from. This one is still a little big on her!

Comparisons With the Past

Dori isn't the first fluffly pup we have been blessed with. For over 14 years there was a lovely girl named Angel who ran the household pack. The comparisons between the two are inevitable - especially as Dori has a similar  personality!

Floofier!

As  you can see she is getting quite a bit floofier as she is getting older!

Fun Size

One of the fun things we get to do is buy Dori sized items. Even our chihuahua's treats are a little big for her! Here are her biscuits next to his!

And here is Dori telling me she can eat all of those biscuits so I don't have to put them away - really she can!!

Fall Fun

She loves the cool grass on her belly! (and it makes a great tug toy, too!)

Feathered

As some of you know, Dori was named after an Amazon princess in a wonderful series of stories by Melissa Good.  An important milestone in any Amazon's life is her first feathering and we are happy to report our Dori got hers this weekend! :)

Meet Alti

The other kitty that lives with us is Alti. Dori loves having her as a playmate as well!

Alti, however, isn't as happy to have Dori around! She glares at her a lot, hisses and then finds a nice safe high spot to watch the intruder from!

More toys for me!!

It's not just the spinning ball she has claimed from the kitties! ALL of their toys are the perfect size!

Dori is facinated by this type of cat toy. She is determined that somehow she will be able to get that ball! She will also stand on the middle and spin herself around to watch it. Meanwhile the kitties stand back and watch her and wait their turn!
